well it's been offically a week since i got the new nintendo wii,  and i must say it's been worth the trouble of waiting 18 hours making sure i was in the front of the line to get one.

first off the wii is nothing like the gamecube,   first off the look made the wii much more cooler than GC,  the interface alone for the wii makes it even cooler.  i stood in line for wii, gc, n64 and was prolly the first kid on my block to get a snes so basically nintendo is in my history,   i have owned every nintendo system,  even the dreaded virtalboy.  though i bought VB thru ebay and only got it to complete my whole nintendo collection.   I own 3 GCs,  1 VB, 2 n64, 2 SNES, 3 DS, i dunno how many gameboys and advance.  i'm a subscriber to nintendo power,   and i have all my stuff registered thru the website.

so the wii comes and they hype is there for me.   i own 4 games wii sports, zelda, red steel, call of duty 3. and i have 2 retro games you can download of the wii console. so that is a total of 6 games for the wii, i remember buying rouge squadron 2 and lugi mansion for GC.  so yeah this is pretty much the hype for me.

the controller system is fun,  espcially on fps games like red steel and call of duty,   though i am kinda bleh on CoD3 graphics compared to xbox360.   zelda of course is a game you can pick up the controller and just be at one with it,  though i assume that people who have never played zelda will have a learning curve.  but if you have played zelda then yes it should be like second nature,   CoD3 i had to get used to the control schemes but i'm pretty much used to it.  

wii sports though the game that came with the wii is a surprise,  i find myself playing the game when i need a zelda break.  cause let me tell you this zelda is mad hard.  the golf game is one of my favorites cause it's just so fun to play golf and base your swing on how you do it.   the boxing is not really responseive but i belive once they get the hang of the controls devolpers will make a awesome boxing game.   bowling is another one that i like,  and it is like it playing RL bowling cause i score the same in RL and in wii bowling. tennis is anothe game but i assume they'll tweak it more in wii play.  then baseball,   i love it  the pitching is kinda meh but the batting part makes it worth playing over and over.  so if you only afford to get just the wii,  your in luck cause i'm sure wii sports will be fun for you and your family.

so the launch presentation of the wii is much stronger than GC,  just throw in zelda alone will sell systems.  it's more interactive than GC and trust me much more fun,   luigis mansion help me with my gc for about a night till i passed it,   zelda on the other hand i got 40 hours in and still haven't passed it. plus i'm the big wii bandwagon harder than i was with the gc.

being a nintendo fanboy,  i hope nintendo does better than gamecube,  though GC isn't a dissappointment to me, it was 3rd place overall in the console war.   hopefully the thrust of the DS (which btw is basically kicking pure ass around the world) will help nintendo get back to it's glory days.

so i stood in line around 9am but stop to get a champions breakfest



so yeah they only had about 20 units and the first 20 that came got it so since i was early i was a for sure thing (wait there is more)

wow so yeah i've already been standing in line for 8 hours and i get a sticker and a patch,  though walmart did give us some free food like soda and chips and cookies <3 walmart

we passed the time around by playing DS (btw everyone in line had one GO NINTENDO!!) mario cart was the favorite and talked about PS3 (lmao) and Wii



so anyways around 10pm walmart start giving us cards showing who is getting a wii in the order the line was standing and with that said...



yuppers i was #1 in line lmao

and yupper midnight hit and bam i am offically the first person from bremerton walmart to get a wii with legend of zelda a game i've been waiting for over 3 years to come out.

this the controller and it's very cute.  you maybe wondering wtf but i'll let you know it way more comfortable now to play games you can sit any style and stuff and it feels like your not even playing on a controller.

btw nintendo fans are loyal to the system,  everyone that was there bought it to play it unlike PS3 fans who sell there shit on ebay.

i'm hopeing for nintendo to come out this generation ftw


btw i highly recommend you buy a wii,  it's fun, cheap,  for the family and hardcore gamers.

is wow a better game?  is FFXI a better game?   

the growing trend right now is that FFXI is losing its touch and ALOT of people are going to WoW.   i know in the shiva server there is alot of people going to WoW from LS from CoD,  DL,  the old vindicated,  zenmetsu,  and even a few Hero memebers.  I visit all these LS on there wow server (hes deadnedz i will soon visit you) and talk to them,  i'm not the most hated or even unknown guy in shiva.   I'm well resepected and known,   supposely i am got the first non-botted koeing body in shiva ( though i did get nidhogg at 20% after another LS wiped to him) lucky me eh.

and i got that in november of 2005 a year ago.   FFXI shiva server has been out for North Americans since october 2003.  that is 2 years before the first NA koeing body drop for a heavy japanese population server.  i am 3/5 in koeing  3/5 of crimson 5/5 on AF version 1 and 2/5 on AF version 2 and prolly with the best pre TAU expasnion items.  I never got any homan or anything like that. I was leader of one of the top 5 HNMLS and it was a part of the one the best NA dynamis in our server,  though we were close to being the first to beat dynamis lord,  we got beat out by merely a few weeks,  though we did end up #2.  I'm beat prolly every aspect of the game (pre-tau)

now in WOW i'm a unkown guy,  though my name is familar (Nidhogg) to former FFXI players,  i'm not really known,  i don't talk to many people in the skywall server,  only about 3 people i really talk to that doesn't play FFXI, cept for 1 former HoCD memeber that is on alliance and 2 memebers on the horde side.

okay so here i'm 4/8 on might,  6/8 on wrath, i was 7/8 on valor, i'm a member of one the top 5 alliance guilds in the server.  they were the best alliance guild but broke up and reformed, asperity hasn't done any server first though i do belive there the 2nd guild to beat the twin emps. i was also rank 8 out of 14 in pvp standing was was one of the top 100 in the pvp standings at one time. i have done everything in this game except for the current NAXX raid instance.

now look at the time i've played in FFXI, i have a unbelivable time of 668 days playtime (yes i go afk ALOT)
in WoW i have 64 days of total playtime and you can't go afk and leave the computer.  it'll auto-kick you out the server

on a personal basis on myself as a character,  i accomplished more in WoW than FFXI,   as a guild memeber  FFXI blows what i did in wow out the water. drama wise,  only the part when i left westcoast was the drama part but again it wasn't really the biggest drama in the world,  in FFXI i have been thru everything you can imagine,  guild bank stolen,  accused of thing that i'm not,  even now i deal with FFXI drama. But i was the LS/Guild leader so everything falls on me.

okay so wow has a more kiddy/colorful tone that FFXI,   FFXI has more of a console game so less colors show than WoW. WoW color basis is like play dragon warrior or a regular nintendo made game. alot of people appeal to the FFXI graphics cause it more of a realistic tone than WoW. and wow players prefer the colorful tone of wow because more animated and colorful.  emotes in wow are more animated than FFXI,  look at the standard dance emote to FFXI

as you can see that blood elf is doing the "twist" ,  though i thought they do the napoleon dynomite dance O.o

i personally like the realistic look of FFXI,  though i love the animation of WoW. most people play FFXI thru a PS2 but if you had a awesome graphical computer to play then FFXI is beautiful.  

I'm not really a fan of the HNMs look as aspid, adamantoise,  genbu all looked the same with only minor color changes.

IMO AF2 set is awesome looking,  and koeing set is #2 but i do not like might set or the valor set at all. though i love the wrath look,  but if you looking for the perfect tanking look FFXI got that on lock.

and the only set i like is the judgement set the rest are fugly.


so even though wow has a bit more a animationish style,  the bosses/armor  here are more colorful graphical wise.  I will admit i HATED the graphics for wow at first,  because they seem to silly but like watching cartoon you start to get a feel of the world,  i never hated ffxi graphics but just way how SE did most of the graphic pissed me off.  but i still do love them floors in sky,  sea.  man them floors were so awesome to step on.  but you start liking certain thing in wow from FFXI like take san doria to stormwind,   sandy looks way too plain when you first walk into the zone compared to the epicness of stormwind.   my god i remember seeing the statues and was just in awe on how cool it was.  i think i have a pic

the dragons look (which btw is one of the biggest aspect for me in playing MMORPGs is fighting dragons)  this is what got me to play wow big time.

let's comepare onyixa to fafnir  both are considered tier I cause if you want you guild/LS to step up these guys are in your way.

truthfully i've tanked both fights and both guild/ls were capable of fighting with little diffculty  BUT
fafnir is harder than onyixa,   but 40 people fight ony to the 18 here.  But the onyixa fight is more fun in a more epic feeling from first beating him.

i belive the BIGGEST mistake that SE did is the fact that the most powerful armor/desirable items  in the game is still the Rise of the zilart expansion items. Dynamis, Kings, sky, the beastmen gods systems are ALL from the first expansion.  all these bosses in FFXI are all SPAWNED bosses wasting 3-4 hours to make 1 person happy, sometime 2 people.wow.   with these bosses compition gets so fierce that people CHEAT to get the items or become a better LS.  though i condone cheating i have no doubt there was people who did it behind my back, in matter  a fact i know now they did.  it kind of kills my legitimentcy,   but i couldn't really stop them without hard proof. that was one of my biggest stress in that game.  just trying to be Right,  when everyone behind you are doing wrong. i mean there was a time i got desperate that i thought about it, once.  but i had to stay  legit and truthfully though i did do the right thing i never really got the big mobs (fafnir 10 times,  we got him only on maintence and LS wipes,  and got KB a total of 2 times and 0 aspid).   and inside i wonder why the fuck did i make a regular LS to a HNMLS,  to see these people constantly get shit in there face.   never seen a riddl,  never seen hrotti never seen crimson body drop for none of my guys who deserve it from the 2 years i was a HNMLS leader.

the sky system before when i first started in HNMLS was awesome,  i remember camping sky with zipcana up walking around doing nothing,  i would call the LS in jeuno and tell them "hey zips up come up here"  and bam we get zip.  Now and days with gill sellers in sky that is a memory now.   Ulli camps were bareable before,  we actually never had a problem with ulli camps,  more of a Steam cleaner camps cause of his bug.  i mean i beat byakko before i beat seriyu. it actually took us a month from the first day we started farming sky to get a seriyu pop item.  that killed me from the begining is that the best items are ZILART items,  bar none. 

what SE should do is make the KS99 Drop the ABJs for koeing body, dalmitca,  crimson,  but they're to fucking stupid to do that.   when i first heard about the KS99 i was excited,  in matter in fact i was ready to tell my LS to farm the shit out KS's but wtf they do,  but BULLSHIT CRAP to them, wow blackbelt items,   when my old LS memeber told me it took 7 runs for 1 BB items i though that was bullshit.

Now look at wow,  every tier item you get is a upgrade to perform at a better lvl,  that is what people want is to get better items,  NOT FUCKING GRIND FOR MERITS FOR 2K EXP AN HOUR TO BE STATISCALLY BETTER.  you get armor that will help your skills for future fights cause armor with better stats is the best thing next to skills.  with each upgrade you can step forward to a better area and do better.  but what people desire is to be better looking/pwnage than the next person, not how much you wasted your afternoon grinding your ass off for 10 HP.  and unlike FFXI where crap can drop after spend 3 fucking hours fighting a SPAWNED BOSS. you put them 3 hours in WOW  i'm sure you will make 5-10 people happy in a raid.

as you can see ragnaros has a BIGGER loot table,  and i'm positive that he drops for sure 2 tier II pants and 2 non class items and maybe 1 legendary once in a blue moon. and like 2-4 blue items.

Kirin for sure drops crystals,  i'm sure of that but the most he can drop is 2 abjs, 1 osode, and 1 pole but unlike ragnaros,  it's not 100%

as you can see that Loot wise wow is better 100% better than FFXI,  you people actually get something,   now again in wow you deal with 40 people and in FFXI you deal with 18. so let's see.

the best day dynamis with 64 people max (but usually 40 people) to wow BWL (which is also 40 people) let's look at my loot table here i'm using past dynamis score of my old LS grand theft choco to my wow guild asperity loot table.
both are capable guild/ls with GTC beating the Crap out out of dynamis lord (basically unlike most dynamis LS GTC is one of the oldest and has Dynamis lord on farm)  to my guild asperity who came from the best guild in skywall with most of there memebers not needing the items in BWL.

ummmmmmm nothing to write about really it's just really late,  i'm tired and sleepy and yet i'm still up.   anways on a personal note i recently move back to seattle,  and i'm loving it.  My 26th birthday is coming in a week and i broke up with my girlfriend cause frankly i wanna be single haha.   work wise has been lovely,   in matter in fact i love my new job up here.   much better than being in san diego anytime.   ummmmm nothing really going on.   I got a new laptop 17' alienware.  got a nice little apartment. so you can say life has never been better.  i'm less stress and my mind seem to be more focus.  and getting alot of sleep lol.

gaming wise i recently put a down payment on my NINTENDO WII :DDDDD.   can't wait for that system to come on in and play zelda.   been playing alot of world of warcraft also since i have really nothing better to do.  I left westcoast guild for many reasons,   one is cause of my move,  and the other was the fact that the leadership didn't make the right desicions.  they were going to slow and being way too slow for a guild that had the potential.   i tried to have a small allaince with other guild doing MC,  inviting westcoast players to it.  But the leadership didn't listen to me and after i left that guild fell apart.   so now there no one on the guild and dead.   so i went guildless doing nothing but pvp,    and got to the rank 9 and almost to rank 10 but alas i joined asperity.

well from what i know these guys were a badass guild called Nightwind,  and during the beginging of the server nightwind was basically the top endgame guild in the server.  they went thru drama and reformed as asperity.    that is all i knwo of there history.  a guild i've been looking for that can show me the end game ways and this was the guild to be.   this guild has it bad and good side,  but most if not all guild have that.
